The importance of language

I was in Mexico City earlier this week chatting with my longtime friend Tapen Sinha. He asked me how I spent most of my time as a CEO. I replied that I am either talking to people or listening to them.

He said he found this intriguing and asked if I would like to discuss this thread further ‘on camera’. I agreed readily.

What followed was an engaging dialogue about the art of speaking, about the power of language, about the distinction between an assumption and an assertion, and about the growing importance of soft skills.
